Edward Gonzalez

Edward Gonzalez joins Agrinzonis along with the transition of SPM Soccer and fellow colleagues, Ben Rechler, Nick Woodruff and Jordan Florit. He has spent the past seven years working in many aspects of the soccer world. 

Edward and his family came over to the US from Colombia at a young age after his father spent 10+ years playing professionally for Atletico Nacional, one of the most historic clubs in South America. Once in the US, Edward attended Berkshire School, one of the top prep soccer programs in the country.

He spent his collegiate career playing at NCAA DI American University in Washington DC before finishing his playing career and his degree in Sports Psychology at St Lawrence University in Canton, NY. Following his final collegiate season, Eddy served as the Assistant Coach under Head Coach Michael Toshack. During this time the Saints captured three straight regular-season conference championships, three straight conference tournament championships, three time NCAA tournament qualifiers, and were ranked as high as #5 in NCAA DIII nation poll.

Edward moved on from St. Lawrence to join Black Rock FC for their inaugural Prep Academy season where he coached the U-16 boys team and assisted the U-18 boys team along side Black Rock FC founder, Jon Moodey. During his time there, the club captured State Championships for their respective age groups automatically qualifying for the US Club Soccer Nationals and also transitioned into USL League 2 where the club earned an automatic place in the US Open Cup. Many of the top players transitioned to top college programs as well as professional leagues around the world. 

Following his time with Black Rock FC, Edward was offered a position as the Director of Recruitment at SPM Soccer. He has been managing the youth recruitment and scouting for the past five years where he has worked with many of their top players both in the USA and abroad while continuing to grow the network of clubs and programs to benefit the clients of the firm throughout South America and Europe.
