Jordan Florit

Jordan Florit is the Director of Recruitment in Venezuela and lives in the capital, Caracas, where he moved to from England in the summer of 2021 to continue his career in the world of football.

Jordan has rapidly become the authoritative English voice on Venezuelan football since 2019, writing the first English language book on the country’s relationship with the sport and its history, “Red Wine & Arepas: How Football is Becoming Venezuela’s Religion.” The book has since been translated into Spanish and Portuguese and Jordan has continued to bring attention to Venezuelan football with the successful launch of FUTVE English, a Twitter account and podcast dedicated to extensive coverage of Venezuelan football in English.

Jordan sharpened his expert eye for spotting talent working as a journalist and content creator for ten years, in that time appearing in a number of renowned print and digital publications, culminating in his 2020 appearance as a South American judge for The Guardian’s 700 Best Male Footballers in the World.

His in-depth understanding of football in Venezuela and his passion to help grow its profile and aid its talents reach their full potential will see him head up AMG’s recruitment and talent identification process in the country from academy level up. His existing expertise and personable relationships with clubs, academies, players, and coaches alike will enable AMG to fulfil its ambition to develop a long and meaningful presence in Venezuela.

Jordan Florit es Director de Reclutamiento en Venezuela y vive en la capital, Caracas, donde se mudó desde Inglaterra en el verano de 2021 para continuar su carrera en el mundo del fútbol.

Jordan se ha convertido rápidamente en la voz inglesa autorizada en el fútbol venezolano desde 2019, escribiendo el primer libro en inglés sobre la relación del país con el deporte y su historia, “Vino tinto y arepas: cómo el fútbol se está convirtiendo en religión de Venezuela”: el libro ha sido traducido desde entonces al español y portugués, Jordan ha seguido llamando la atención sobre el fútbol venezolano con el exitoso lanzamiento de FUTVE English, una cuenta de Twitter y un podcast dedicado a una amplia cobertura del fútbol venezolano en inglés.

Jordan agudizó su ojo experto para la detección de talentos al trabajar como periodista y creador de contenido durante diez años, en ese tiempo apareciendo en una serie de publicaciones impresas y digitales de renombre, que culminó con su aparición en 2020 como uno de los jueces sudamericanos para The Guardian’s 700 Best Soccer players in the World.
